About Sr. Young

Hola! My name is Thomas Young and this is my third year teaching at Holdrege Public Schools. In the past, I have taught all levels of Spanish and this up coming year I will teaching the 7th grade and 8th grade Exploratory as well as Level 1 and 2. I have taught at Platteview High School in Springfield, Westside High School in Omaha and at Lincoln Northeast High School in Lincoln. In the end, though, I was seeking a closer community, rather than a huge school and so I was thrilled when there was an opportunity at Holdrege.

I was born in Omaha, but spent most of my years in Wheaton, IL — a suburb of Chicago. I have Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and also studied abroad in Querétaro, México during the Summer of 2007.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife Katrina, reading, travleing, playing the trumpet, and riding my bicycle.
